Greg is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where he studied Psychology and Sociology. After college he returned home to Colorado and worked for the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation. In 1996 he moved back to the DC area to begin a successful sales career with IKON Legal Document Services. He then transitioned into the technology field and held high level sales positions with UUNET Technologies and eLink Communications. Prior to helping found CRG he spent two years directing the mid-Atlantic sales efforts for Fios, Inc, a Portland based electronic Discovery firm. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Greg helps forge the strategic growth and direction of the company.
Kevin served 5 years in the U.S. Navy as an Operation Specialist and attended the University of Maryland before joining Bergman, Brosmer & Jeffries in Glen Burnie, Maryland in 1993. Kevin then began an extremely successful sales career for IKON Legal Document Solutions in Washington DC. At IKON, Kevin was consistently ranked in the top 1% of their nationwide sales force. He was instrumental in building, training and developing their mid-Atlantic sales teams. Kevin is a sales specialist and an industry expert; he co-founded CRG with the ambition of providing our legal community with a service provider who is committed to customer care, reliability and the highest level of service. Kevin is responsible for helping develop CRG’s strategic vision and planning.
Jeff graduated with a BBA in Marketing from James Madison University in 1993 and successfully managed Electronic Tax Filers in Richmond, Virginia during its 1st 2 years of business. Jeff joined IKON Legal Document Services in Washington, D.C in 1995 and recruited, trained, and managed a sales support team of 15 Customer Service Representatives. After 3 years with IKON’s document services division, Jeff joined IKON Office Solutions as a Major Account Manager and successfully managed its legal vertical market selling high volume copiers to law firms in Washington. He joined MCI Worldcom in 1999 as a Major Account Executive and consistently ranked in the top 5% of its sales force nationwide for 4 years. Jeff reunited with Greg Evans and Kevin Reed to found CRG in 2003. He currently manages financial operations and provides strategic direction for the company.
As the Executive Vice President of Business Development and Partner of the Counselor Resource Group LLC., James' primary responsibilities within Counselor Resource Group are centered around the management of business development initiatives , pricing , and profitability thresholds. In an effort to maintain focus in the industry, James also supports the managers for the respective sales teams company wide. Much of the support James provides to the sales teams help him work with his management team to create new market strategies, partnerships, products and services which not only embody the core philosophies of Counselor Resource Group, but also the future direction of the company.
As a Certified Electronic Discovery Specialist (CEDS), James' industry knowledge and expertise is focused around the lifecycle management of Electronically Stored Information (ESI), specifically Electronic Discovery processes and methodology centered around the principles that have been created to uphold the standards of the Federal Rules For Civil Procedure (FRCP). Most of the electronic discovery consulting he provides is driven by Intellectual Property Litigation, Antitrust Litigation, Securities Litigation and Professional Liability, Finance Regulatory matters. Throughout his career he's helped his client navigate issues before, but not limited to The Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission.
James was a student athlete at the University of Maryland where he studied Government and Politics with a concentration in Business and Health Sciences. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Electronic Discovery Specialist.
Jason attended Virginia Tech and then went into the IT field as a System Administrator. He was recruited in January of 2000 to become an Account Manager for Eagle Legal services in Washington DC. In early 2001 the company launched imaging services and Jason relocated to the company headquarters in Kansas City, KS to support that effort as the IT Administrator. When Imaging was launched in the DC location in 2002 he returned to DC to build and support the department from a technical standpoint, shortly thereafter he took over the entire department and became the Imaging Manager. During that time Jason co-authored the company wide SOP and also began running electronic conversion projects in addition to scanning and printing.
In mid 2003 he joined another litigation support company, Uniscribe, as their Imaging Manager. There he continued to work on electronic discovery projects and manage the department in addition to providing technical support to their facilities within law firms.
In July of 2004 Jason became the Director of Operations for Counselor Resource Group where he oversees the entire production department and continues to focus and specialize in electronic evidence processing. Currently, Jason holds the title of Executive Director of Operations and is also responsible for helping lead CRG’s technological strategy, vision and implementation. He holds several certifications and is truly an expert in the field.
After graduating with a BS in History from the University of Pittsburgh, Matt continued his education by receiving his paralegal certification from Villanova University. Prior to joining CRG in 2006, Matt worked as a Litigation Paralegal for an IP Litigation Firm in Washington, DC. During this time, Matt gained invaluable industry experience and worked on some of the most complex intellectual property litigations. Matt, a Philadelphia native, opened CRG’s Philadelphia office in 2007. Within the industry, Matt is known for educating his clients about the idiosyncrasies of e-discovery and developing cost-saving document review strategies.
A lifelong resident of the Washington, DC area, Jim graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland in 1994. He began his career in the legal industry by joining the law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett and Dunner in Washington, DC as a Legal Assistant. After gaining invaluable hands-on experience with large scale document productions, Jim took a position at IKON Legal Document Services in 1997 as an Account Manager. At IKON, he utilized his project management skills to build strong client relationships that still exist today. Jim’s strong leadership skills and sales accomplishments led him to Nabi Biopharmaceuticals where he excelled as a Senior Sales representative and later as a District Sales Manager. In late 2006, Jim reunited with his former colleagues and joined the CRG ownership team. He currently is the Managing Partner for the Northern Virginia office.
